19 YEAR OLD CONTENT CREATOR JOINS REPULSE GAMING

From rising to fame almost overnight, then facing the challenge of restarting his career at its peak, to swiftly rising to the top within months and ultimately joining Repulse Gaming as a content creator, no one does it quite like 19-year-old North American content creator, Avdvyth.

Advyth embarked on his esports journey at a young age, much like many other content creators. Introduced to the popular video game Minecraft while still in elementary school, Avdvyth developed a passion for gaming. This passion led him to fund Overwatch, a 5v5 multiplayer game requiring strategic roles to secure a win against the other team. Advyths passion for esports, in particular, grew more and more as he took the game to a competitive level ranking amongst the top 500 players in the world at that time. At the age of 13, Avdvyth stumbled upon content creation and streaming, igniting a dream to become a content creator and YouTuber.

Transitioning into a hobby, Avdvyth started uploading YouTube videos featuring his Minecraft and Overwatch gameplay almost weekly, driven by a desire to join the ranks of top gaming YouTubers. His journey didn’t end there. He then discovered video game streaming on a streaming platform called Twitch. Where he made his first Twitch channel called “Advyth” and for the first time on December 8th, 2017 Advyth went live marking the first stream in his career.

When Fortnite Battle Royal was released on September 26, 2017. Advyth was introduced to the increasingly popular game through his fellow friends who played Overwatch. After his first game, he was hooked. Like many other aspiring content creators, Advyth recognized how fast Fortnite was gaining popularity and saw the opportunity to turn his dreams into reality. From there Advyth hopped on the Fortnite train eventually skyrocketing himself into fame.

In 2018, Advyth started streaming nearly every day, focusing on a popular Fortnite game mode called "Arena," renowned as Fortnite's competitive platform. Drawing from his Overwatch experience, Advyth, propelled by his competitive drive, aimed to rise among the top contenders on the leaderboard. By the close of 2018 and entering 2019, Advyth had just gained over 300 followers on Twitch. However, far from being satisfied, this only fueled his desire for greater recognition. As 2019 unfolded, Advyth persisted in his daily Fortnite streams, driven by the ambition to achieve widespread fame. It was during this time that everything changed.

In 2019, the emergence of the COVID-19 virus sent shockwaves across the globe, triggering widespread lockdowns and the closure of schools and workplaces. For many, including Advyth, this crisis presented an opportunity to propel their careers to new heights. With no school commitments and large amounts of time on his hands, Advyth seized the opportunity to stream constantly, often dedicating 8 to 10 hours per day to his streams. Throughout 2020, Advyth's streaming efforts yielded remarkable results, creating a thriving community around his content. By the pinnacle of 2020, Advyth was averaging 300 concurrent viewers per stream and reached a peak of over 6,000 concurrent viewers. And by the year's end, he had streamed over 1,000 hours and amassed a staggering 38,000 followers. His aspirations of becoming a top content creator were actually happening, validating his relentless efforts.

Only Six days later on January 6th, 2021, everything fell apart, when Advyth’s Twitch channel was banned. Devastated by the ban, Advyth witnessed his hard-earned progress vanish overnight due to what he perceived as an unjust suspension. The ban, which remained in effect until March 20th, 2024, left Advyth disheartened and prompted him to step away from streaming and content creation for nearly a year. Despite pouring thousands of hours into his craft, he felt his career crumbling before him. However, after an extended and much-needed break, fans were surprised to discover Advyth's return to the scene with a new Twitch channel, simply named "Advyth." On February 18th, 2021 he decided to give streaming another shot going live one more time to see if anyone would remember him.

To Advyth’s surprise, as he clicked the "go live" button once more, he found his community awaiting his return. With his first stream back, he averaged 150 concurrent viewers. Over the following three days, despite only streaming a total of 7 hours, he gained 5,000 followers on his new Twitch channel. Encouraged by the continued support of his community, Advyth resumed daily streaming, swiftly transforming from a previously absent 16-year-old streamer into a prodigy. On his 27th day back, he streamed to over 9,000 viewers in a single day, propelling him to newfound fame even faster than before. By the end of 2021, he had amassed an impressive 165,000 followers on Twitch.

Advyth's content style is diverse and engaging, offering a mix of gaming, discussions, and entertaining challenges. With a charismatic persona, he effortlessly keeps viewers entertained with his gaming prowess, interactive chats, and humorous challenges, making him a beloved figure in the online content creation scene.

Recognizing the potential of Advyth as both a content creator and a streamer, Repulse Gaming, eager to expand its North American content lineup, swiftly saw an opportunity. Charlie Hammond, CEO of Repulse Gaming, remarked, “Advyth perfectly aligns with Repulse Gaming’s vision for the future and brings immense value as a personality we can build our team around.” With Advyth's content spanning from gaming to trendy discussions and even dating challenges with his friend group, his addition to Repulse Gaming creates a powerhouse force in content creation.

Advyth officially joined Repulse Gaming on March 2nd, 2024.
